How to add your website

Before you start

Make sure your website is publicly accessible. dislike404.com will attempt to connect to your website as part of the setup process — if the connection fails, the website cannot be added. If you run into issues, check that your server accepts our crawler's user agent.

Step 1 — Enter your website URL

Enter your domain in the URL field, for example example.com. You do not need to include https:// — it will be added automatically. If your website runs on HTTP only, enter the full URL including http:// explicitly.

Step 2 — Excluded URLs (optional)

If there are URLs you want to exclude from scanning, you can add them to the blacklist right away. This is optional and can be updated at any time later.

You can use the asterisk * as a wildcard:

• *example.com/pages/* — excludes everything under that path

• *forum.example.com* — excludes an entire subdomain

Step 3 — Crawler frequency

Choose how often dislike404.com should scan your website. Options range from daily to monthly. You can change this at any time in your website settings.

Step 4 — Notifications

Choose when you want to be notified by email:

• Notify Always — you receive an email after every scan, regardless of whether errors were found

• Notify on Error — you only receive an email when errors are detected

• Notifications Disabled — no emails are sent

Step 5 — Add your website

Click the Add URL button. dislike404.com will validate your URL and attempt to connect to your website. If the connection is successful, your website is added and you will be taken to the verification page.

All settings can be changed at any time from your dashboard.
