Introducing Quick Scan

Quick Scan lets you check any website for broken links and crawl errors — no account needed.

Published on Mar 29, 2026

Starting today, dislike404.com offers Quick Scan: a way to run a full broken link check on any website without creating an account.

The idea is simple. You have a website and you want to know if anything is broken — dead links, missing images, pages that return a 404 or 500. Usually that means either manually clicking through everything, or signing up for a tool you might only need once. Quick Scan skips all of that.

How it works

Go to the homepage, enter a URL, and pass a quick bot verification. The crawler then works through your site automatically — it follows internal links, checks each page it finds, and logs every HTTP error it runs into. Broken links, redirect chains, missing resources. When it's done, you get a full breakdown of what was found: which pages have errors, which links are broken, and where they appear.

The whole thing takes a few minutes depending on the size of the site. Results are stored for 24 hours and come with a shareable link, so you can send them to a colleague or client without them needing an account either.

Page limits

Quick Scan works without an account, but there's a limit on how many pages it will crawl per run. For most smaller sites that won't matter. If your site is larger, or you want to scan without limits, daily automatic scans, and email alerts when something breaks — that's what the free account is for.

What else is new

Alongside the Quick Scan launch, I made a number of smaller improvements: new guides, a few bug fixes regarding the scan results, a redesigned "How It Works" section on the homepage that explains both paths side by side, and several bug fixes around the bot verification widget.
