SEO Improvements & Homepage Update
Over the past few days I've been doing some SEO housekeeping: Cleaning up the homepage texts and making sure search engines actually understand what dislike404.com is about.
What changed:
Rewritten Homepage Content
The old homepage texts were a bit vague and generic. I rewrote them to be clearer and more direct, so new visitors immediately understand what the service does and why it's useful.
Improved Meta Tags
Every public page now has a proper title and description. Small thing, big difference for search engines. Something that honestly should have been there from the start. 😅
Structured Data (JSON-LD)
Added schema markup to the homepage and FAQ page. This gives Google a bit of extra context about the site and can unlock rich results in search.
Canonical URLs
All pages now have a canonical URL set. This avoids duplicate content issues that could hurt rankings.
noindex on Private Pages
Login, register, dashboard and similar pages are now marked as noindex. No reason for Google to waste time crawling those.
